Australian designed – for the typical Aussie home.

We know there can be four seasons in any one day, and that the variations of our climate – from Tassie to the Top End – mean air-conditioning systems have to be able to deal with some serious extremes. Which is something that many units aren’t built to deal with. So we designed our AIRES Inverter split-ducted systems to be able to handle whatever Australia decides to serve up – easily and efficiently. All this plus our smart zoning technology ensures everyone in your family is comfortable – without breaking the bank.

Maintain comfort without running up your bills.

Using inverter technology, the AIRES system will automatically adjust its capacity to provide only the conditioning that is required, thereby reducing your running costs.

Key Benefits

Tested by Australia...

Tried and tested to handle the extremes of the Aussie climate, AIRES is easily capable of delivering energy-saving comfort whether in the oppressive heat or the biting cold.

... engineered for Australia

Unlike most overseas air conditioners with a maximum operating temperature range of 43°C to 46°C, we test our AIRES units to ensure they can easily operate from -10°C up to 50°C.*

Quiet Mode

AIRES features Quiet Mode that enables you to operate your system at reduced noise levels, ensuring a peaceful environment for both you and your neighbours.

*Operating range based on air temperature entering the outdoor unit heat exchanger.

Compact, space-saving outdoor unit

The AIRES outdoor unit’s sleek and compact design means it has the flexibility to be installed in a range of locations.

Turbo Mode

Turbo Mode function offers instant relief as your air conditioner kicks into high gear, delivering extra capacity power when you need it most.

High Seasonal Performance Factor

The outside temperature affects the performance and efficiency of all air conditioners – so AIRES has been designed with all of Australia’s extreme conditions in mind.

R32 Refrigerant

AIRES utilises R32, with a substantially lower Global Warming Potential than some alternative refrigerants, while enjoying the benefits of optimised energy efficiency.

Choose your zoning option

Our systems come with more of what you need.

That’s why our AIRES control and zoning solutions can be applied to a wide range of room configurations to deliver the comfort and efficiency you desire, tailored to your budget, ensuring the perfect balance of comfort and cost-efficiency

Integrated Zoning
All indoor units come with integrated zoning ready for up to eight zones, so no extra devices or add-ons are required.

ZoneAware™ Technology
Sensors automatically activate in the zones you’re using.
Install up to 16 remote temperature sensors around your house. Sensors intuitively activate based on zones you operate, delivering more precise temperature measurements.

Only condition the part of your home you’re in.

Day/night zoning, also known as a 2-zone system, is a popular entry-level zoning option. Your home is grouped into two sections known as zones:
Zone 1 are all the rooms you use during the day, and Zone 2 are the night time rooms.

This allows you to air condition just one zone at a time, saving money on energy use.

Frequently Asked Questions

This depends on how old your air conditioner is and if it is still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Your current ducted air conditioner has looked after you for a long time but is now starting to show its age by needing repairs which keep popping up. As you will know repairs can add up over time and a major issue like a compressor or outdoor coil replacement can cost you a considerable amount.

As an example, the cost to replace a compressor in an older air conditioner that operates with R22 refrigerant can be upwards of $3800 or to replace a damaged outdoor coil the cost is approx. $5500.

Remember, you will still be left with an older, less efficient air conditioner and with the possibility of other major repairs soon because of the air conditioner’s age.

When looking into air conditioning, it’s common to come across references to single or three phase power.

This simply refers to the method of power supply used in your home, with single phase air conditioners being suited to single phase power supply, and three phase air conditioners being suited to three phase power supply. As a general rule of thumb, three phase power supply is used on larger capacity systems, but the specifics vary from brand to brand. ActronAir’s comprehensive range of ducted air conditioners includes a wide array of choices for both single and three phase systems to suit houses of all shapes and sizes.

It’s really important to make sure you select an air conditioner that is compatible with your home power supply – rest easy, your ActronAir installer can assist you in making the correct choice as part of their cost and obligation-free consultation with you.

There are a number of differences between Ducted and Wall Hung Split systems.

A big difference is the amount of heating or cooling they can provide. Typically, Split systems are suited to treating smaller spaces like a single room, whereas Ducted systems are better at treating your entire home. That’s because Ducted systems usually come in bigger sizes than Split systems, allowing them to provide more powerful comfort to bigger areas.

Another obvious difference is how they look. With a Split system the indoor unit is usually mounted on your wall, whereas for the most part Ducted systems are more discrete, with most of the components of the system (like the indoor unit and ducting) installed inside your ceiling space, with the ceiling vents and the wall controls/sensors the only visible parts of the system inside your home.

Another crucial difference is zoning and advanced controls. For true efficiency and comfort, zoning is extremely important, and while Split systems can provide you with some advanced control options, for example mobile control apps like our Easy Connect, they don’t offer you any zoning options.

On the other hand most Ducted systems typically offer a wider range of controls to choose from – learn more about our award winning controls. And importantly, most Ducted systems also provide you with zoning options – thanks to our unique Tru-Zoning, no one does zoning better than ActronAir, with more choice, more inclusions, and smarter performance.

When it comes to controlling your comfort, we provide you with the widest range of control products to choose from – you can learn more about our controls range here.

The specific controls available to you will vary depending on which system you choose, with every product page on the website having a dedicated section outlining which control options are available – you can rest assured that regardless of which system you pick, you will have a range of options to choose from.
